Paringa Feva Opa sells for a record $33,000

Dairy-sale--11The highest price ever paid at the Shepparton Selling Centre was reached when lot 3, Paringa Fever Opa, EX 91 the 2016 IDW Grand Champion was sold at $33,000 to a Syndicate of Australian and Overseas buyers headed up by Rocky Allen of Cobargo, NSW.

As dual Master Breeder Pam Malcolm has sold her Dairy Farm the famed Paringa herd is being dispersed, this 2nd stage sale met strong demand for the catalogue of Autumn calvers.

Next top price of $10,800 was paid for Paringa Dempsey Nicoise a very correct heifer bred from 6 generations of Aussie EX dams, she was purchased by N, M & J Staley of Yarram.

The same buyers selected several lots including Paringa Fever Hastie backed by 10 gens of EX & VG dams at $5250.

Many breeders were loud in praise of Paringa Aftershock Etolie, VG 86 bred down from the former record priced Kriss Shona, she sold at $6,600 to Dylan McDonald of Devon Meadows.

Other noted sales included Paringa Damion Olly, VG at $5750 to K & H Jones of Foster. Paringa Stanleycup Lush, VG at $5,300 to P Schubert of Denman, NSW and Paringa Bolton Shamwow VG 88 at $5,000 to A Wright of Garfield.
